Durable PVC Sack Holders won’t corrode and can be reused year after year. The Holder doubles as a funnel for pouring sap into collection containers.

Whether you are tapping maple trees for making maple syrup, or tapping birch, walnut, or other less common tree, our EZ Sap Sack Holders provide an simple way to collect your sap. EZ Sap Sack Holder Tapping Kits

Available for D&G Ecolo Nylon taps, and Sap Meister Stainless steel taps.

These easy to use Maple Tapping kits use durable PVC sap sack holders along with tough food grade nylon tree taps. This type of sack holder is completely enclosed except for the keyhole that slips over the tap. They hold 3 gallons of sap when full. This kit uses the double cable tie method for a smoother profile and to reduce the chance a bag could slip off the hanger. The slot in the holder is a modified keyhole shape that keeps the bag securely attached to the tree, but will release when lifted and rotated 90 degrees clockwise. The Sap Meister tap version lifts up and of straight back to remove from tree.
Parts ship unassembled. Time required to attach the bag to the holder averages less than a minute.We tested the kits by allowing numerous bags to stay on the tree for several days while filled and overflowing. In spite of the 25 lb plus weight we never had a failure, or any sign of damage to the components.
Each Kit includes one PVC Bagholder, one Vinyl cap, one 5 mil heavy duty blue sap bag, 2 13.5″ cable ties, and one tap (either Ecolo Nylon or sap Meister Stainless Steel ).

Replacement Sap Sacks and Cable Ties

We stock only 5 mil heavy duty bags. Our cable ties are 120 lb test and manufactured from 100% virgin nylon resin. Cheaper ties that contain reground resin are prone to becoming brittle in cold weather.A full bag weighs about 25 lbs. These ties and bags can handle that weight with ease.

EZ Sap Sack Holders

These Sack Holders are CNC machined from schedule 40 solid wall water pipe. This type of sack holder is completely enclosed except for the keyhole that slips over the tap. The slot in the holder for the Ecolo Nylon is a modified keyhole shape that keeps the bag securely attached to the tree, but will release when lifted and rotated. The holder for the Sap Meister Stainless steel tap is designed to lift straight up and off. Holders measure 2-3/8″ diameter by 5-5/8″ long.

Flexible Vinyl Caps

These flexible vinyl caps fit our EZ Sap Sack Holders, or any 2″ PVC schedule 40 pipe. They measure 2-3/8″ ID x 1-1/2″ tall. They fit snugly, but slide on and off easily.
Blue is easier to see if dropped on ground or snow.
